Today’s new trick: mixing colors by alternating between lines. The dark background squares are a combination of W&N India Black and Emerald, and the dark foreground is Nut Brown and Orange. The result is one of those techniques that looks different when you’re seeing it in person. The photo of the result tends to look more like single, darker colors rather than separate hues intermixed.
